Military Vote May Be Severely Undercounted Due to Late Redirect

According to The Hill today, thousands of military ballots may not make it to be counted in time, due to late mail redirection. Five US Senators sent a letter to the Secretary of Defense to express worry that the servicemen and servicewomen are unlikely to get their ballots before tomorrow, when the counting takes place.

Military votes are overwhelmingly Republican, and late or uncounted ballots from Americans in the armed forces have been an issue  before. Debate continues as to whether the lack of counted military votes has altered the outcome of presidential elections in the past.
